Extra-murals, although vetted by the school is also run independently of the school, merely on the school premises. Thus all communication and payment needs to be directly between the service provider and the consumer. Please note that you as the parent need to give the directress permission via a signed document in order for the child to be released to the service provider for the extra-mural. The service provider is then responsible for the child until picked up by you. Extra-murals include; Karate , Monkeynastix, Dance/Ballet , Young Engineers, Playball, Drama, Computers For Kids, Swimming

Katz School of Dance

Katz School of Dance is a dance training academy focusing on uplifting and introducing dancers of all ages to a holistic and nurturing world of dance. We teach an international syllabi and are affiliated to several recognized societies.

Ballet is a formalized kind of performance dance. It is a highly technical style of dance that incorporates the foundational techniques for many other dance forms. Ballet also focuses on point work, flowing, precise acrobatic movements, and often presenting the dancers in the conventional short white French tutu. This genre is watched in theatre in productions like “Swan Lake” and “The Nutcracker”.

Hip hop is a dance style, usually danced to hip hop music. Majority of hip hop moves are done standing up. The dancing represents body movements that go with the beat and rhythm of hip hop music. There is breaking, popping, locking, and free styling in hip hop dances. The jumps, breakages, and rotations in the movements are combined in such a way that the dance style becomes an informal and explosive one.

Little Brains - Computer Training

For 10 years, Little Brains has provided technology lessons in pre and primary school environments. We offer an excellent service to schools and parents, teaching students how to use technology in a responsible and meaningful way. Whilst helping students to learn the basics of computer knowledge, we also equip them with a love for learning with technology and the ability to extend their knowledge in many ways, through using technology creatively.

We use internationally award winning software to teach our curriculum to our pupils. The programs which we use have been carefully selected to incorporate age appropriate material, and to help children to become highly competent technology users. By using an online suite like Purple Mash by 2Simple, we constantly strive to be on the cutting edge of technology teaching.

Technology does not exist in a vacuum, and for this reason our curriculum is linked with the South African Curriculum Assessment Policy Statements (CAPS). We strive to create a link between subject learning and the use of technology. Our curriculum is age appropriate as well as allowing for additional learning material to be covered, and we encourage creativity in all that we do.
